Greetings ......All ... Okay i own a 2001 f4i 600, and wanted to do a conversion on my tail. does anyone have any good ideas or can point me in a good direction...the internet is sometimes too vague..any input would be much appreciated...Also what about a good shorty exhaust ? and have you guys seen those glass mount turn signals the other night on super bikes?

i have a 99 f4 and want the tail from a 2001 f4i .
i think yer lookin the horse in the mouth-
just put an integrated light , make an undertail, and a seatcover cowl for the girlseat.

 

What kind of "conversion" are you wanting to do? Many folks w/ banana seat F4i's want to go to the split seat like you have.

 

if you want a banana seat i can hook you up. if you are talking about undertails, i would suggest doing one that keeps the factory taillight

for a shorty exhaust just make your own. or get the scorpion one, i really like mine

 

Hey Tat. I think what you want is an undertail, not a conversion. Mine came with the "mud flap" cut off right under the lock mechanism, and a piece of sheet metal (galvanized) to cover the big hole left in the trunk that doubles as my license plate mount. You can come by and check it out if you want, I'd say we could meet up somewhere but I don't know if I really wanna ride in sub-zero temps. Anyways when the weather breaks, hit me up, we can go hit the twisties. lol Oh and I have a pimpbikes undertail for sale if ya want. Do a search on eBay to see pics of it.

 

hey guys thanks for your replies, the undertail swap i did that already gotta get a new one.@skoobydoobie pm about the pimpbikes undertail. i was mainly asking about taking a r1 *** and putting it on a 600 f4i frame will it work ? i just want to try something different and i dont know which way to start .....

No, be ready to do some fab work.

 

theres a thread about a 1k rr swap in the f4i forum, it looks like it turned out sweet. it makes me want to do it but i have a single seat subframe.
