Default Am I going crazy?

Lately I've been thinking about switching to new plastics. I want something that is a little more unique then the typical red with black vinyl on it. The only problem is that this whole process could get crazy expensive by the time I'm done. How many people actually do this when they have perfectly good plastics already? Do you think I could sell my old plastics for any amount of money? Their are a few minor 'maintnance' cracks from the previous owner tightening bolts to much. I guess I'm just getting to intense with this whole modding out the bike. Thats what happens when you don't have good roads to ride on I guess

Buy Race plastic and mod the hell out of it.
Check E-Bay for a price.

It would be cheaper to have it painted than to buy all new plastic and then you could make it look totally different from every one elses.

I'd say you should get a good set of track plastics and get a nice custom paint job. Use the track plastics for the track and keep your stockers for the street. Alternatively you could sell the stockers on Ebay. Even if they have minor damage you'll get good money for them. People are always looking for cheap plastics.

thanks for the input guys. to be honest i really didn't consider painting the plastics, which is pretty bad. I'm leaning towards paint, it would be a good winter project. I checked airtech and unfortunately they don't have anything for 600rr's yet. I'm also considering picking up a crashed bike, and possibly selling mine. It would be sweet if I could afford to do a track bike, but I'm a college student and will be far to broke for many years to come to own two bikes.
