Default Alternating front sprockets

Curious to know if anyone changes their front and/or rear sprockets based on track days? I just put new chain/sprockets on (stock gearing) but will be doing a very twisty track day at the end of the month. Wondering if I could put a 15 tooth up front for the day without any chain wear issues. I'll probably have a few hundred miles on the current front by then...

You will be fine. It's an easy mod to do, even trackside.

Okay, thanks!

What type of mileage would you say is "too much" to switch out sprockets and have uneven wear be an issue? Or should I really not worry, regardless of mileage, if it's only for the day?

Chain mileage varies by how well it's maintained, how it's used, and how good of stuff it is. As long as the chain is in good shape and the sprockets are like new, it will work out fine
