lol so its lose lose either way....buy a good exhaust can for roughly $250 or buy the cheap exhaust and then have to buy a $200 power commander.

What about the exhausts that are baffled like the 12.5"

Im not racing or stunting or anything my 1999 F4 had plenty of power for me and i think it was a little less than the f4i

I can't answer that ... the FI will compensate to a point without a power commander. But I don't know how much extra it can add in stock trim. Might wanna ask the guys in the F4i section and see if they can point you in the direction of a F4i tuner guru.

Lucked up found a 2002 Cbr F4i with 5600 miles for only $3200 and it has a M4 exhaust on it, supposed to go pick it up later this evening. Thx for all the help though, still like the shorty look so may end up getting exhaust # 2 anyhow since im paying $800 less than i expected to pay. May spend some of the extra $$ on some more gear still need some riding jeans and a pair of boots. Need a thicker pair of gloves too, only got the icon 9iner which r pretty darn thin.
