Okay, me and my buddy took my f3 and his bandit 1200 out earlier today, pushing both bikes pretty hard. After about 20 mi of driving, my bike just cut out on me for no apparent reason. At ~75mph the bike began stuttering then lost all power regardless of how much throttle applied. I pull in the clutch, bike dies instantly. I thought i was low on fuel, even though I was not. Switched to reserve, ran for about 1/2 a mile and did THE SAME THING! I thought it was the fuel pump, so I pulled the supply line. The pump was cycling about three times a sec. After trying to start it the motor flooded so we pulled the pump the relay.... the bike started! and ran for a couple mins to clear the excess fuel. I plugged the relay back in and the pump began whirring and acting normal. I drove it to a friends place and am trying to get back to it tonite. So far I've narrowed it down to a couple of things.

1. Fuel Pump Relay (cutting pump on and off)
2. Fuel Pump (debris caught in it causing restricted flow/no operation)
3. Carb issue (allowing excess fuel flooding the motor)
4. Electrical component overheating

As a side note, I typically have to give the bike a little throttle to start it, but no noticeable issues when its running. I just had the carbs adjusted and sync'ed. Any help please!!!!

 

I think the contacts on the back of the pump may be worn causing the pump to intermittently go out under heavy stress.
