Default 89 Honda Hurricane (600f)

Hey. Does this sound like a good deal? I've gotta friend that might be selling his 89 hurricane. He was thinking about $800, and I know I can talk him down to about $600, just cause I'm good. It needs new tires, missing the right fairing, mirror, the front brake lever is broken but useable, the back brake pedal is broken and un usable. The engine has 50,000 on it! Is this too much??? It still drives pretty nice. Would this be a good buy? If it is, would it need a rebuild or anything w/that many miles on it? I don't know if I plan to put new plastic on, cause it kinda looks street fighter style w/out the side fairings. I will of course fix the mirror and brake levers. What do you think? Thanks!

I bought one back in 1995 I loved that bike, I think it was a 87. I bought mine for $1000 then I RODE THE HELL OUT OF IT! I smoked a few of my friends on way better rides just because I could push it to the limits and not be worried about $$$. I even rode mine from San Diego up to Washington a few times. Built like a rock!

Make sure you have a health plan in effect if you go to check prices for the bodyparts..you may have a heart attack!!
The miles isnt a real concern if the bike had been taken care of ( but $600 sounds like a beater) watch out for the camchain tensioner; they go out on alot of the CBR600
