Default 2015 CBR600rr loss of power while riding

This has happened several times and I am at a loss. I will be riding on the freeway about 80-85(speed seems irrelevant) and the bike will just lose all power and drop rpm’s then it’ll putter back on then keep doing it until it slowly sputters and dies out entirely. I am able to turn it back on most of the time and it’ll idle then start to sputter and die out again. Every time it has happened the temperature outside has been 95-105F, so hot. After a few hours the bike idles and runs normal. I tried cleaning the kickstand thinking that may help but no luck. Any suggestions on where to go from here? It worries me with how busy the highway is to have that sudden loss of all power and dropping speed fast.

Based on the sputtering and dying it sounds like it might be out of fuel or may have a bad battery. Based on the fact that it happens in high temps it sounds like it might be overheating, although I wouldn't expect it to sputter first (but I'm no mechanic), and based on that it runs well afterwards it doesn't sound like the battery is dead (unless you charged it inbetween).

I'd check the temps when riding to make sure they are in normal range and I'd check the fueling system / filter for any debris, as a start. I would also check the voltages of the battery while off (at least 12v), starting (not below 10v), idling (above 12V) and revving (13-15V). Does it happen only at low rpm?

As for your worries: might be smart to keep a hand on the clutch lever when you're riding so you can instantly pull it in and coast and/or put it into neutral if it happens again. Though it would be best if you can find the culprit before you ride again.

Take note of coolant temps around time it sputters.
Might be heat-induced problem, cooking some electronics or something.
