What kind of oil should i use for my first 600 miles change . I want to change it myself . any ideas? thank you for your help.

 

Not that I am an expert, seeing as how i haven't got to my first oil change on my 06 1krr yet (will fix that this weekend); everyone I have talked to from the dealer to other riders say the same thing, do not use 100% syn old for the first, or even the 2nd change....beyond that I think brands are a personal preference, just use a high quality oil....hey keep in mind that the 600 mile service isn't just an oil change, the check everything over and make adjustments, might not be a bad idea to let them do it and avoid any warranty issues....

 

Hey AZ1000RR, I checked all forums, they all say the same . not to use synteric for now.. I'm taking this toy for a service anyway. it sounds like the right thing to do. I was trying to save some money, but it doesn't pay. Thanks.

 

You will be perfectly OK if you start using synthetics at your 4000 mile oil change.

 

Just be careful because i found out that the oil pan bolt comes installed by a super mutant thats a mix between the terminator, godzilla, and machines on steroids. So in other words don't strip it, it sucks.
