Question 2004 cbr600rr bogging down

have a 2004 cbr 600rr bogging down bad at midrange from about 120mph on up will bog down if i give it more than half throttle, unable to pull out of a turn cause it bogs down, air fuel mixture smells rich, could this be a fuel starvation problem or somthing more serious like mechanical engine problems? any advise would be helpful for me to diagnose this problem.

could be a clogged jet? how many miles?
i hear about this similar problem alot and alot of people swear on sea foam,
you add it to your tank, you can pick some up at any auto-parts store
im going to use it when i get my bike back together

If it smells rich, then more than likely your either not getting enough air, too much fuel, or your spark isnt sufficient.

First, I would check your air filter to make sure its not dirty or clogged.

Second, I would check your sparkplugs. If they are the originals, it might be a good idea to change them out anyway.

Third, if both of the above check out, You might have a fuel pressure regulator problem. It may be letting too much pressure into your system, so when you first apply the throttle and the injectors are letting too much fuel in. This is something that may have to be checked at a dealership, unless there is an easy way to measure the pressure.. which I dont know of.

well i tried seafoam, that didnt seam to work, found out that engine is starting to overheat at idle with fan always on and started shutting down while on a ride the other day and wasnt able to start for 10 minutes, then started right back up but still hesitated on the ride home, think i ran into to many problems on this bike than i want to deal with?

how hot did it get? All bikes will get hot if they are left idling long enough. But it certainly shouldnt overheat.

If it is getting hot and your experiencing hesitation, I would lean towards a timing issue.

How does it crank over when its cold? when its hot?

well it got about 255 degrees before it started flashing and i turned it off. thinking it might be a thermostat, but for the bogging down still unsure? cranks fine when its hot or cold.
