I bought it two days ago. The integrated tail light hardly worked. The gauge cluster fuse was blown. To me that explicitly says someone screwed up the wiring job. After pulling the tail fairing off the wiring was a mess. I unplugged the integrated light. I removed every trace of it to include the resistors. Rode it again after relaxing the fuse for it to just blow the fuse again. After checking the wiring the tag light was I the rubber piece getting familiar with each other. So I separated them and taped them. I have now tried plugging the light back in to have no power at the tail light at any of the three plugs for the light. I have checked the fuses. All are good. However I don’t have power at the plugs. I rotated the relays above the fuse box to see if one was bad. They all checked out. Where else does the lights get power from?

I recommend downloading the service manual for the bike. In the manual is a diagram for harness. It can help out tracking down you your electrical issues. Also, you’ll want a multi meter for testing continuity and voltage, they’re $15 to $20 for a basic one. You also want a circuit tester. A circuit tester will light up when there is power at a wire or connector.

The issue has been resolved. After removing the plugs and wiring them directly there was power to the light. I am guessing there is a break in the wire very close to the plug. Once I clicked the plug off leaving approximately 3 inches to wire it back on, I wired the light directly into the wiring. Everything works as it should now.
