(2002 F4i) front led signals wiring headache
Hello,
I just bought a 2002 f4i.
The previous owner installed led front signals and kept the stock rear signals.
The rears work but blink really fast, the fronts don't work at all.
I took the front fairing apart and here is the mess:
1 (black) and 2 (red) are the led wires,
3 is not connected to anything!
4 is not connected to anything!
A and B are connected to 1 and 2, but not sure if it's correct.
A is solid Grey and connects to a light blue/white wire
B is black and grey and connects to a light blue wire
Please help me connect this mess so i can have functioning front signals...

Welcome to the board. Take a deep breath, its not bad at all.
The previous owner actually did you a favor by using IndyLeads. That's exactly what I used to rewire my front signals when switching from factory stock to LED's. I didn't want a spaghetti mess of rigged-up twisted-together wires w/ electrical tape or some other type of rig job. So, I purchased IndyLeads from CycleGear to do a more proper rewiring. That's most likely where your "3" wire (non-connected) came from. The IndyLeads are sold in pairs, threes, etc. Understand? So, you could actually remove that "3" wire or leave it (there's a thread on this board about how to rewire your signals from stock to LED, such that you can still have running lights). The great thing about IndyLeads is...you can simply unplug the wiring when need-be.
As for them not working... Check your fuses. It could as simple as a blown fuse causing them not to work.
Yes, your stock rear signals will flash quickly w/ LEDs up front unless you get a module to wire-in to slow them down. Personally, I like my signals flashing faster...I think it makes cagers see quicker & more easily.
W/o my fairings being off my bike, I can't remember the exact colors from what to what but its not rocket-science. Keep us updated & we'll try to help as much as we can.
Good luck.
