Default 2000 F4 600 - Runs rough when hot.

So I got my bike working, but now after riding for only 10-20 min my bike wants to stall at red lights if I don't keep the RPM's above 2k... Also when I start off in first it feels like it's choking and it studders.. When its cold it runs like a champ... Anybody have similar problems or know what could cause this?

It's been my experience that when a motorcycle runs well cold, but starts running rough when it heats up it is a fuel/air mix issue. As it heats up, it will warm the intake air enough to throw off the fuel air ratio and make it start to run rich. This can be caused by malfunctioning carbs, or a dirty air filter.

Also, it could be an electrical issue showing up when the components heat up, I would suspect the coils or the CDI circuit.

Well I just checked the air filter, it could us a new one but is certainly not the cause. I let it run for about 20 min with out the filter, same result =( . I'm praying that it is not the carbs because that's a lot of $$$.. Anyhow I am bringing it to the stealer today because I don't know what else to do. Ill update this when I find out whats wrong. Hopefully it will help out someone else with similar issues.

Soo turns out it was the plugs and the r/r.. Told me its going to cost like $400... That sounds pretty expensive don't you think?

Yea just do it yourself, Eastern Beaver is a good source for quality OEM connections and R/R wiring kits and Ebay has R/Rs for cheap.
