2000 cbr600... fuel problems
well i have a 2000 honda cbr 600, first, it turns on fine, then all of a sudden it would jump up too 5-6k rpms and wouldnt drop so i messed with the idle cable, and fixed that problem, then as i would ride it for about 3-5 miles it would be fine then all of a sudden it would just bog out and turn off and ide have to sit and get gas through the fuel pump just enough to get to back to the shop, and it would kill it completely, then ill let it sit for 10 mins and it will turn on and ride just fine and then it will do the same process agiang and agian, and wont maintain a steady ride all day . im not sure why this is doing it. i just put in a new fuel pump and relay, it is jetted and im thinking that maybe the guy that put the jet kit in didnt do it right or tune it right .... if there is anyone that might have a idea of what the problem is that would be such a great help ... shawn

i had the same problem with mine when i had it, it was the fuel pump but i see that you replaced that, could possibly be a choke problem but unlikely you could give that a look make sure the cable and everything on the carb is working properly, other than that it might need a carb adjustment i had the stage 1 dynojet kit in mine and after i redid the fuel pump it didnt run right and was bogging prob becuase it was gettin to much fuel with a new pump screamin fuel into the motor so pulled the airbox and carb off and set the jets to leaner setting and it ran great after that
