2000 CBR F4 starting issues
I have been having some starting problems with my F4. It requires that i hold the starter button down for a few seconds before it turns over. Occasionally it will run for a few seconds and die out again, then I have to hold it down for a few more seconds and it will start and run fine. It does this on cold starts and if I have been riding for a while and stop to get gas after the bike is at running temp. I have a suspicion it could be the battery because when i first start it, my left turn signal indicator on the dash will not light up when i flip the turn signal on. Then once i have been riding for a few minutes it will start working. Im kind of puzzled as to what to try as i dont have tons of money to take shots in the dark. But that is why this forum is here and Awesome. Any answers would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
Thanks.

First place to start is the battery, measure voltage. If you can, recharge the battery take note of the voltage and leave it out of the bike a couple days then measure the voltage again, if its bellow or near 12V(example: after charging, multimeter reads 12.98V, 1/2 days after it reads 12.24V) it may have a damaged cell. Can also check ignition wiring and handler bar switches for corrosion connectors retain moist since they aren't insulated...
