Default -2 on the front sprocket

I'm planning on going to the -1/+2 sprocket setup on my F4 and today I went to check the sizes of my current sprockets and I noticed that my front sprocket has 14 teeth rather than the 16T stock size. I just bought the bike and I wasn't aware of this until now, is this setup bad? It seems like it would put more wear on the chain due to the tighter diameter of the sprocket. Would I be better off with a -1/+2 setup?

i wouldn't worry about the chain.

but what is it doing to the chain guide? i would assume that the chain would rub on the guide a LOT more (even maybe rub through it at some point).

I just checked and It's definitely rubbing but I didn't see any damage to the guide.
