1994 cbr600 Help!
Hey guys..
New to the forum, and cbr's but not motorcycles in general. Had an old suzuki that i did alot of work on.
Anyways, the bike is my friends and he's had it 1 week. It's in great shape for a 94, and has 12k miles. It was starting to develop a tick at the lower rpms when started, but would go away after a few quick revs. I suggested he change the oil, so we did, with 10w40 automotive oil. The motor then got much worse ticking, at all rpm levels. The oil light also came on some, but then went off. He rode it to work and on the way, the light came back on. A salesperson at a dealership told him that he shoulda have used only honda motorcycle oil. He then drained all the automotive oil out, and put new fresh honda oil in. The noise is still present, as well as the oil light. The oil is full, and fresh, along with a new filter.
Any clue what this could be? Oil pressure sending unit?
