Default 1993 F2 front fork springs suspension help

I'm new to the forum, but not new to riding. I just bought a mint condition 93 f2, red white blue model. Hardly a scratch on it.
I need some help with the front forks. They have been serviced with new seals and oil by previous owner, but they dive terribly when I get on the brakes. I'm looking for suggestions that may be inexpensive to try before going to emulators and a $700 service bill.
I can easily replace the springs and go to a heavier weight oil. Thoughts?
I'm 175lbs.
The shocks dive 4" or more during hard braking.
Thanks

Sounds like the springs are shot or there is no oil in them.

First thing I would do it replace the springs and put new oil in them.

Any thoughts as to what brand or size?

Racetech is good. At least start there.

Get springs for your weight, or one step heavier.

A cheap straight set of 94 forks would be a nice upgrade to rebuild for your weight. More adjustment with 94 forks & a bolt on modification.
