i need to setup my bike with a temp swingarm extension. I have been looking at the kits and there are lots for the 1000 because of the power im sure. i called a honda dealer and they said that the both models have the same swingarm part number. Why would they sell model specific kits???

Is there a difference between the two rear end setups? Im not understanding where the difference is? anyone know? Thanks

 

Not sure if this helps but I checked a few parts suppliers I deal with and all list seperate part numbers for extensions for those 2 bikes.

Not sure what, if anything is different but for some reason there are different P/Ns.

Only things I can think of would be maybe wheel spacing, brake dogs, chain offset or something along those line....which would make sense.
