Angry 02 F4i idle issues

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum. I bought an F4i , it was running fine until I parked it in my garage. Started it up the next day and let it idle. Once it reached 100° temp the idle dropped from 2k to around 600rpm, a minute later it died. Restarted it , then it would idle at 600 rpm and die. I'm new to motorcycles but I've worked on cars my whole life. I've had cars with idle issues and it was the IACV, this bike doesn't have an IACV so I was searching for another possibility. I replaced the fuel pressure regulator and spark plugs with no luck. My question is, would the FAST IDLE WAX UNIT cause idle issues? My buddy started messing with it to adjust my low idle but the RPMS never changed. I live in Colorado Springs and I am looking for a good mechanic to work on my bike. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for the help.

The wax unit uses hot coolant to pull the idle down. Low coolant or malfunctions in the cooling system can cause high idle.

Check around for vacuum leaks too. Its common that the MAP sensor to be left disconnected or knocked loose when the tank gets lifted.

Thanks for the help, I took it to a local shop here in town and they are still troubleshooting the bike. once I get more info I'll post their findings.

If its ran fine until now then we can be pretty sure the idle was set correctly before and doesn't need to be adjusted now. If it does, something else is going on to cause that.
