Default 01 CBR 600 F41 Exhaust question

I recently purchased my first bike, and the previous owner instaled a "devil" High mount exhuast. I like the looks and the sound of it, but my only problem is that the rear pegs were removed to facilitate the exhasust. I have seen some shorty exhausts floating around the forum, and I am liking how they look. Can anyone guide me in the right direction on where I can pick one of these up.... OR can anyone tell me a good mod to do to fix the current problem I have of not having rear pegs.... I was thinking I could just plasma cut the mid-pipe and "bootleg" my current exhaust into a shorty..... but I'm not too sure how legal that is in my state of CA..... And the reason for my disliking of the high-mount, if you can't already guess, I want to take a girl on a ride and as of right now cannot do so........ Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated......... -dirt

Default RE: 01 CBR 600 F41 Exhaust question

well i guess it depends on how confident you are on fabricating? cutting the midpipe will most likley require some slight tweeking to get a bend right for the slip-on, also you might need a different style clamp for the can. it proly could be done but i guess what i suggest is take a good look at it before ya start choppin away, to get a good idea. otherwise in the classifides on the forumim sure you could find some "low mount" slip-on packages that include the can and midpipe to just replace the whole thing. as for the pegs, if ya dont already have them, you could prolly find a set of those as well- nobody should be deprived of taking females on rides-
