possible handling problem
i just bought a 02 f4i, i noticed off the bat that its steering is quite different from my other friend's f4is, when i lean to turn, the bars tend to want to follow me, usually i just lean and thats all it take to turn, but this time the bars seem to not want to stay put, any possible mechanical problems you guys can think of? so far i noticed that the syspension has been tuned with alittle above normal in stiffness in fron and alittle stiffer in the rear, also, these are on stock tires, 120 in fron and 180 in rear. im also thinking about balancing the fron tires, what do you guys think?

RE: possible handling problem
Check your steering head bearings..if they are too loose it will feel sloppy and if it is too tight it could want to wobble or "track" grooves in the road more than normal.
Also make sure both your forks are set the same...try cranking them all the way down and then backing them off equally. If one fork is set harder than the other it will handle funny also...
Dont forget to check your rear wheel alignment also..alot of times you think it is the front giving you fits when it is really the rear end causing the problem..since a motorcycle is a single track machine both wheels need to be pionted the same or it will not handle properly
