Default polished frame

Does anyone have some advice on the best way to polish the frame, swingarm, etc. I tried in the past but it didn't come out that good. I started sanding with 600-800-1000 then I put on Mothers Polish using a power buffer with a soft cotton rag on it.

Sounds to me like your are on the right path...I know it is HUGE job and alot of upkeep to keep it shining..I have heard of people having stuff chromed, but those parts tend to flake the chrome off due to engine heat, and the frame " flex" which causes hairline cracks and then chipping...good luck with it.

You may want to wet sand it using a higher grade sandpaper, eventually you will get it to really shine, my friend used 800-1000-1200-2000 and his is like looking into a mirror!

It is a pain. My 900RR has a polished frame. I wasn't the one who did it, but i'm not looking foreward to the upkeep. It's already started to dull alittle. Time to bust out the dremel and the keg of mothers and spend a weekend cleaning it up. I'm trying to wait till we have a week or two of cold weather here in FL, so I won't want to ride. That will be the best time to do it.
