ignition problems...
there's battery, however it won't start. i can't hear the fuel injection or whatever that noise is after turning the key to the on position. i am low on engine oil but that would not cause the problem of the bike not starting right? can anybody help?
So your bike is just rolling over??? has it been crashed?? I need more info.....if it has been crashed there could be a number of reasons it wouldn't start..if not, maybe you fouled the sparkplugs ( filled it with diesel accidentally?? seen it before) the bike handlebar switch is in the RUN position right??..It is usually something basic..and if your bike is fuel injected and the battery is low, it could cause the igniter to not function properly and not be injecting the fuel or causing weak spark....hope any of this helps
well the bike recently was involved in an accident, and i did not fill it with diesel accidentally.... and yes it is on the run position, the starter is cranking but the motor is not starting..... the battery was being charged during the start up... however do you know what noise i am talking about after turning the key to the run position?? (its an electronic noise, sounds like something initiating... anymore help would be greatly appreciated....
yes I am familiar with the "whirr" from under the tank, which is the fuel injection priming itself if it is a F4i or 600RR. If that sound is not being generated it might be a blown fuse..there are aftermarket manuals available from Clymer for the F4/F4i but not the 600RR which will have a troubleshooting page and location of the fuses..check those..is the bike under warranty?? maybe you should have it checked at a Honda dealer if it is.
