Well i bought a used 52,000 mile decent shape 929rr for $1,300 ran when i picked it up and the guy ran it out of gass in-front of me and when we opened up, the tank it smelled like varnish so i know we got bad gas. got it home pulled out the tank and drained it, pulled air box and plugs. checked gap .32 right. cleaned air filter. and plugs, new high grade fuel and injector cleaner installed tank and cant find 1 hose for it? dont know if it was not there or if in the excitement of it all, just dont know but it is not the main fuel line. It is not the two smaller lines it is the biggest of the lines besides the fuel line and not the one that comes off of the 90 deg. tube it is a straight down tube about an inch long? any ways now it wont fire. so i'm thinking clogged filter or fuel rail or injectors. also second gear slips but it's not the clutch was told it's some kind of fork in the tranny and it would be an 1,000 + job to do. any insight would be great.

 

ALSO HAS RED DUMMY LIGHT FLASHN WAS TOLD FROM GUY I BOUGHT IT FROM THAT HE TOOK IT TO A GUY AND WAS TOLD "I DONT KNOW" THE GUY I BOUGHT IT FROM ONLY HAD IT LIKE 2 WEEKS AND IT WAS RUNNIN, I SAW IT RUN AND HIM RIDE IT?

 

try a different section like "general chat" or a specific section like "929RR"

not many people look in here to help - only to suggested to CBR forum about ideas or something..

wish i could help myself, but dont know - i'm sorry man, it was that too good to be true deal but $1.3K plus another thousand aint bad for a 929RR..

this is why when i buy a used bike, i tell the seller to keep the engine cold till i get there (i want to see if it starts on a cold-start), i also want a test-drive or see it riden. Usually people will warm up the engine and keep it warm till you get there so it starts up easy - it's a nice little trick to get rid of it.
