I'd drive longer, through the states, and Kayak less. Maybe only like 2200 miles.

Thats old... But I have always seen the directions go across the Atlantic to France. The one I saw a long time ago actually said to "Swim across the Atlantic Ocean".

My buddy would love this. He just kayaked from near Fayeteville to Wilmington. What if I tell him that google maps has a trip recommendation to Hawaii?!
