I do agree that the F4i is better in some ways than the 600rr.. but overall the rr could be said is a 'better bike' when compared to modern supersports...
Having said that... I wish that they still made an F4i.. maybe the F5i.. a more comfortable and less "super" supersport.. Yamaha brought forth the FZ6R to appeal to less racey segment than those that would want an R6... but I also wouldnt want the F5i or whatever to be watered down like Yammie did... Not everyone needs an RR, or ZX6R, or R6....
I love the look of the 600RR over pretty much any other bike.. but the comfort and overal value of the F4/F4i can't be overlooked at all.
Who knows.. if the market demands another model, Honda might develop one.. but then again for the life of the F series, Honda only had one supersport model that was street and strip.

The question is more like why did they continue making them for so long? Of course they're great, but so are the RR's. Why continue making a bike that has already been replaced? Im glad they did, I only just barely got one brand new [only 2 were left in the entire ridenow inventory]. Its kinda like the R6s from yamaha. Everyone loves them if they aren't going to the track. But if the new bike is supposed to be better, why make the outdated one?

Ive got a really ****ty dealer by me that still has a brand new yellow/black '06 F4i in their showroom. I can't remember the exact price they wanted for in when i asked about it 2 seasons ago, but if memory serves it was maybe $1000 less than what they were trying to sell a '08 600rr for and they don't have a good price to begin with on bikes. I went up there a couple weeks ago and they still have it this season... Next time I'm there ill have to ask what they want for it just for grins...
