i had the LP DB...that one is crap, thin and fit wasn't so good. after it busted, i got the ZG, great fit and thickness, but it did melt my guages.
this was only light smoke too...i've heard dark and clear do the same. I've also heard good things about PUIG but haven't had the chance to check out their windscreens.
if you're worried about track orgs requiring you to have a clear windscreen, then just keep your stocker and switch out the aftermarket.
the orgs i go to don't have that requirement...but i think they may not want you to use a painted screen that you can't see through.

yeah, i would suggest that too, but thats not the route i took, Only because the under side of mine was actually in wors condition (it was stored in a garage off the bike)
Ive been riding on this for a few days now and havent seen any chips, but i have yet to ride it during the summer with all the quarter size bugs flying around....

I had my stock windscreen painted with black automotive painton the inside and it looked sweet, but after about a year of riding it started to show stress cracks & bubbles from the wind flexing it Roughly 8,000 mi., so I bought 2 Zero Gravity windscreens. 1 Chrome DB and 1 Black Chrome. Both ZG screens fit great and I really like the extra height on the DB one. Makes a big difference.

My bike came with stock, anda mirror one that looked a lot better than stock. It cracked though, and I also noticed that at the track, though I neverhad my complete vision viathe windscreen, it was a lot more helpful to be tucked in and still see the ground, or a corner coming up. With the mirror one (couldn't see through) it blocked off a lot of my vision that, when I put the stock one on, I could see; and was glad to see.
If any of that makes sense.

Thatmakes a lot of sense. I am going to Fast Riding School next spring and although I'm using one of their bikes, the confirmation form they sent had prep instructions for your own bike should you want to use it. One of the requirements is a clear windscreen.
Thanks vinny for the suggestion, I was sure I was going to get a ZG dark smoke DB, but now I'm thinking maybe an SR. The only thing I know for sure is I'm glad to have all these opinions..............what an excellent forum.
