had to revive this post. im looking into getting stands as well, from what ive read you might as well just got with TREX for the quality, etc.

only question is, do i need anything else special in order to be able to remove the wheels while on the stands? ive read a few things about spools, do i need these? i need to be able to take the tires off so i can just take them into the shop and save on labor, and also i could keep the bike off the ground for the winter so save my tires. so if i just buy some stands would i be able to do all that without having to buy any other attachments, etc.

would these work?

No spools necessary. You simply use the rubber inserts to hold up the swingarm.

I've had a rear T-REX stand for almost 4 years and still working great.
