You could also get a motorcycle backpack that will expand to accomodate a full size helmet. Kind of like here for example: http://www.cbxmanmotorcycles.com/Ico...Backpacks.aspx

Have a hot chick hop on the back of your ride to wear it there. Just make sure she is smaller, younger, and hotter than the wife.
Big fake breasts help too, this way her helmet doesn't bump against the back of yours.

I would not use the helmet hooks while riding. I have one of the bungee fishnet straps. Works great.
