for the head guards. only ones i have seen black are carbon fiber. i have been told to use high temp paint with ceramic in it. it supposedly holds up better.
push pins. try your local auto parts. they are used on a ton of cars and truck to hold the interior pieces. they night not look exactly the same but they will be close enough.

Thank you, i will check with a few dealers about those pushpins.
but i was thinking about getting some black metal heel guards.. so i dont need to paint them everytime.
theres a lot of friction on them, and the paint goes off after the first ride, even with primer.

s1....just have them powdercoated...you could probably have it done for $20-30 and it will last, i had my heel guards, rearsets, chainguard and a bunch of other stuff powdered and it holds up incredibly...i started out painting like you and you're right, it will never hold up over time...powdercoat is the way to go....

Even the powdercoat will wear a bit if you ride hard enough. Mine are less than three months old and already have nice heel grooves in them. Oh well.
