Default where is the engine number? help

I finally purchased a 05 f4i (w/ ugly seat) and ready to register. I'm filling out the title info, and it's asking for an engine number.
I kinda searched, but can't figure it out... Forum (RR) says it's on top of the oil filter, but I can't find it without taking flair out.
But, I found some number on the back of the engine... it starts with "PC35E-2******". Is this the engine number?
On top of this number, there is "SN3031" written probably with sharp pin....
Thank you~!..

In general dont put stuff like engine numbers online... just a suggestion. It's in your title so obviously it's an important number...

when I went to title my bike I actually had to get a stetching of it with my pencil. if that is what you mean, look at your front forks...it's on the right side about 3 inches below the handle bar.
