I purchased the Auto (Blue Dot) CCTL less than 7K ago and already I can hear it starting to make the "noise". I had assumed this part was fixed and would last but I was wrong. Go with the Manual version so youre not having to repl every 8k miles.

I was going to get the APE but was strongly steered into the OEM by the dealership, and a few good friends of mine that own shops. The APE is a manual and easy to mess up. If you do it too tight it will be catastrophic. One of my friends races in the ADRL and he even said himself he uses an OEM. With all the support and money he has, he still goes with an OEM, that's saying something. Just my opinion. Others swear by the APE, its all opinion and what your comfortable with.

Im leaning towards the oem....but can be convinced otherwise.

My concern with the manual is realling F-ing something up if it is too tight. I also side on the argument that if a manual one were better, Honda would have made that stock.

But, I really don't want to have to make this repair again.

Does anyone have an oem replacement that has not **** the bed again?
