Which shinkos do you have? I'll be needing a new set of tires in the not too distant future myself, and have been considering the 009 Ravens. I've already tried out the 006 Podiums, and ehh not too bad, but I used them mostly for commuting. They wore out a bit too fast for my liking, considering they are marketed as a sport touring-ish tire.

IMO, I don't like Shinko's. Cheap tires are one thing you shouldn't invest in. Spend the few extra bones and get some big name rubber. I have Michelin Pilot Powers on my F4i, and I still have the stock Battlax's on my 07RR.

They are the OEM versions:
E = Kawasaki Concours 14 (2008)
G = Yamaha FZ-6R (2009)
F = Yamaha FJR1300 (2008)

I'm running 2CTs on the front, and they are superb.

Hey thanks for the info on the letters.

I ended up going with the Battlax BT-021 Front Tire got it online for only 98 bucks free shipping, good deal i think.

But am i going to get raped now in mounting costs from the local deal around me you think? never done this before for a bike.

I recommend taking the wheel with the tire that needs to be changed to the shop. If you take it there while it's on the bike, they charge you more. If you call them and ask for a quote, they'll ask you whether or not it's on the bike, that's because they'll rape you if it is. I recommend taking it off the bike, and taking the wheel to them. I did it to my local shop and it was $42 for both wheels.

I heard that a good front tire is one that resembles a circle.
