RON isn't just a UK thing. Far as I can tell, most places use that rating method. Only a handful of countries use the same rating method as the US. But it is kind of odd; if the bike is US-bound, why is it listed in RON, and if it's not US-bound, why the US EPA mention?

The US uses AKI (average knock index) which is an average of RON and MON (R+M/2). Other parts of the world use RON exclusively. AKI is generally a better estimate of how the fuel will perform under the greatest number of conditions.

It does say minimum, so anything above would be ok lol. Your not hurting anything running
higher grade fuel.

Your not hurting anything, just wasting money.
