What happened?
-- Im copying and pasting my problem from another forum--Went out for a ride today. Started up fine. Was out for about an hour and a half. Pulled into the gas staion to fill up. Went to turn the bike back up and it wouldnt start. WTF? Tried several times, nothin. Key on, cutoff switch on run, in neutral, kickstand up. So I asked someone to jump start me and it fired right up. I dont know what happened. Any ideas?
Update - Just got home from work (9hrs later from ^). Did NOT have the battery charging. Left everything in the bike hooked up. Looked at the clock on the bike at its still going. Pulled it outside, started right up. Im confuzed

RE: What happened?
Next time dont ask for a jump! LOL If you have room just leave 'er in first gear pull the clutch and push to about 7-10 mph...jump on and let the clutch out - should fire right up make sure you pull the clutch back in the minute you feel the bike pull...will save you from taking your seat on and off!

RE: What happened?
Did you leave the key on while you were fueling up? I went to a friends place to check out his bike and when I got there I shut the bike off by using the killswitch, I then flipped the killswitch back and talked to my buddy for about 5 minutes. When I went to start my bike it wouldn't start because my battery was drained. Because I left my key on, My lights stayed on and drained my new battery in the matter of minutes. All I can come up with is that you did something simular while you were filling yours up with gas..

RE: What happened?
well if he was getting gas he had to take the key out unless he has an extra on him. check to make sure your wiring harness from your battery to your alt. is connected fully. I had the same problem before. The bike would run for about an hour and then I couldnt getted started again afterwards. I then charged the battery and it started fine but did it again after riding for about an hour. Then bought a new battery and did the same thing. Finally went through all of the wiring and noticed the clip connecting those wires was loose. Took the new battery back and haven't had a problem since. It is a big white clip just inside your left fairing. Just my .02
