As already said, the RR is more "race ready" and the ergo's are more agressive (meaning lower bars, higher tail, pegs back more, more power, etc). For this reason, the F4i would be easier as a starter but I highly recommend the SV650 because it's more forgiving (Vtwin-75hp). even though the F4i isn't as agressive as the RR, it will still powe wheelie in 1st and go 150mph without a problem, all of which will get you in trouble just as fast.

I have been riding for 2 years and my first bike was/is an '06 F4i. I absolutley love it. I've found it very well balanced and I took my time getting up to highway speeds and sharp corners. Getting in trouble is dictated by the twist of the wrist, so if you stay off the throttle as you're getting used to riding, you'll get comfortable on the bike pretty quickly. I highly recommend the F4i as your first bike.

It's a lot more comfortable than the RR and that's the only reason I chose it. If comfort is a concern, thenIMO the F4i is the most comfortable in the sportbike class.
