Well done Gjp. Must say it looks fantastic. Ah, the trials and tribulations of a DIYer

Thanks.

Yeah especially a first time DIYer lol

I think i'll be up for a more in-depth service next time she's due, i didn't really have the confidence to tackle anything bigger but now i have the hang of it i think i'll be more comfortable tackling more

And there's always the forum to ask advise if i screw things up lel

So i finally got round to getting a few more jobs done on ma Pup over the last week or so.

Put on a Kodaskin tank protector and fuel cap cover.

Cut out some Techspec C3 grip sheets.

Resprayed rear wheel and put on rim tape and wheel decals.

Fitted new carbon fibre 'Yoshi' tri-oval shorty exhaust.

Resprayed the foot-peg brackets/heal plates.

Fitted new foot-pegs/gear lever.

Fitted a heap of new fairing/frame bolts.

Adjusted the front/rear suspension to firm it up bit as it was feeling a bit sloppy.

Just got stainless braided brake lines to do - and the suspension tuned/set-up but as thats looking like being fairly expensive (AU$1800) for K-Tech internals, spring/valves/shimmed etc i have to think about how long I'm keeping ma Pup for.

But it's looking/sounding/riding very nicely.

Hello!
I've had my F4i for nearly two years now, and I am looking for better cornering and a bit more aggressive stance..
I searched and found that the clip ons off an early r6 fit perfectly without taking off the ram-air covers.
Anyone tried this? I'd love to see some photos ..

I love that look!

My bike had just over 8600 miles on it when I bought a couple of months ago. I've put 3000 on it so far and, while it was in good shape, I've slowly been going over it to adjust things how I want them. This morning, I really inspected the throttle and clutch cables. They had felt fine but I'm glad I checked. I reduced a significant amount of free play in the throttle and then moved to the clutch side. The handle screw was a bit loose so I tightened that down. I then removed the cable and lubed it. Holy crap! What a difference! Got a lot of black crud out the bottom end and now it feels sooo much smoother! Funny how we adapt to conditions that are less than optimal and quickly forget how things should feel!
