i know on a import car you dont want it on under 3k rpm so im guessing on a f4i no less then about 6 or 7k.

Actually it has to do with throTtle not rpm it shoots when your throttle is wide open like when you have the petal to the floor or twist your wrist all the way

There's so much more to it, though. Fuel pressure safety switch, window switch, non-iridium/platinum spark plugs, tune so it doesn't run lean (with a dry kit) or rich (with a wet kit). Most bikes don't run a MAF and O2 sensors so there's lots to tune.

Too many people don't learn about nitrous and then blame the nitrous for blowing up their engine.

Nitrous, used properly, is just as safe as other power adders. And it weighs less, costs less, installs quicker and is totally optional with the use of an arm switch - when compared to turbo or supercharger options.

But then, using it incorrectly can be extremely dangerous. Whereas a failed turbo install simply won't run right, a failed nitrous install might blow your freaking nuts off :O

nitrous back fires suck! thats why you use it at a higher rpm on stock motors if you didnt retard your timing
