Yesterday was riding in country and this car just cut in front of me. I was either going to hit them from behind or drop the dike. So I dropped the bike. Th crappy part is the guy kept going so he really didnt see me and the crazy part is as I am dragging myself out the ditch people are just asking if okay no help nothing. I was so suprised no one helped. I broke my

I busted my helmet very good I cant see how people dont ride without a helmet. I have a couple of scratches but other than that walked away thank the lord. It could have been extremely worse. Helmet saved my life. Where can I at least get a gear shift lever from except ebay dont use that site. Thanks all and appreciate the knowledge learned from this site.

 

DAMN! sorry to hear that bro! glad your ok at least! idiots and there cars[:@]RE your gear shift lever etc, ebay is your best bet for sure, def the cheapest route. Other than that just check w local bike shops i guess? Welcome to the board btwkeep your head up, and yes people riding without helmets amaze me to say the least????

That sucks, glad you are ok. As mentioned above, bikebandit.com is the place to get oem parts and they have a schematic of your bike if you look it up which makes it easier to find parts.

My only advise is to always ride like you can't be seen. Knock on wood!

I had the same thing happen to me last year on my Ninja. I choose to go down next to the car instead of rear-ending it. Put the bike down in the middle of a busy intersection, and NO ONE stopped to help.

Like stated, I would also suggest BikeBandit, or a local bike shop.

I’m glad you’re OK and I hope that you get back and ride as soon as possible. Did you get checked out by a doc? Excuse me if this is insensitive but isn’t Emergency Braking a lot like turning in that if you have enough time and distance to drop the bike to escape collision, you have enough time and distance to brake?
