Interesting. Most other posts say the power is in the mid-range on the F4i but you're stating it's only up high.

And for the people doubting the 2.5 0-60 time there is no way he did that on street tires but with slicks I don't see that as unbelievable.

yes, b/c in MY opinion the power on the F4i is higher in the rpms than the RR. cruising at 60mph on my RR i can nail it and it will launch like a rocket, but w/ my F4i the rpms need to be slightly higher. have you ridden a NEW RR?

and these times are w/ Mickey Thompsons. no his daily commuter tires on the car.

i knew this would happen lol, you could also send your car to hennesey and have him make you 720hp on a challenger. But the whole point is, its straight line, you put that car thru one corner and it wont make it.
this is where i was trying to avoid going. obviously he spent more on his car, obviously his car is heavier, obviously he cant drag knee in corners, obviously he's had to fork up more mods to keep up w/ me..................................my point to this thread, and maybe Dave LS1 or some other car junky can help me..........was just that its cool to see a car built to match a bike. i REAAAAAAAALLY dont care about what he spent blaaaaaaaah blaaaaaaah blaaaaaaah.......im simply saying its pretty cool to watch a car be built to keep up w/ a 600cc sportbike......and im sure maybe Dave LS1 or other car junkies, like i said, may know what im talking about as i'll assume they've built/had some built cars in their days. im sure you'd think it was pretty cool if your daily beater civic hatch back that still gets decent gas mileage kept up w/ a 600cc bike....

I have not. I wasn't arguing but rather just stating you're the first person I've seen say that, that's all.

So that's a 600RR in your picture? Looks nice.

yep, my F4i that i raced him w/ in left pic and my new RR on the right. the power just seems to be right there at 60mph, were as my F4i the rpms had to climb just a bit before i felt the bike really take off.

You should have someone you know race him on a 1000 and see what happens.......
It is pretty neat though to see a car keep pace with a bike accelleration wise.
Just remember to tell him the 600 is only 36.5 cubic inches LOL.
To keep perspective and all..........

there is a new GT500 in my area BEGGING someone w/ a 1000 to race him, and he's willing to throw down cash. my friend is trying to race him legally at the 1/4mile track but the guy wont go, i think he wants to street race and my friend wants it to be legal....plus he cant get traction on the street very well.

Your friend is a smart man for not pulling it on the street. Besides being illegal and something taht can earn you prison time, there are lots of variables on the street. Going full throttle, if you hit oil or something you probably gonna lose it even in a straight line. The amount of torque going to the back tire would cause the bike to fishtail faster than you could react.

^ im talking about him racing the GT500 at the track, not me. they dont allow bikes to race vs. cars (for obvious reasons). seems like the guy wont be going though.

Oh I know what you were talking about, I was just saying your friend is a wise person. It can be hard to turn down a challenge, but the street isn't a place for a race like that.
