if you can fine r6 clamp ons put them on and add some lead shot inside. r6 clamp ons are hollow inside. i think you can still do it to hondas but you have to pull out the insert that holds the bar end and then replace it. but not sure on this.

Honda clips are hollow as well. If you are dying to load them, you can pull the instert put fishing weights or shot in there and replace the insert.

I've taken the internal weights out from inside the clip-ons. They are pretty heavy. I suppose you could replace with fishing (lead) weights, but I doubt you would get too much weight gain.

Something else that might help: I put the knobby pads on the side of my tank. I can grip the tank with my legs and lighten the load on my hands, which reduces the vibration felt.

I went from stock to Delrin Bar End Sliders. No increase vibration. I was concerned about that, but it was moot.

well it's not the weight gain your looking for. have you seen any of those new dead blow hammers you can buy? they have lead shot inside. what this does when you strick an object the hammer wants to bounce back but the lead shot is delayed a bit so as the hammer tries to rebound the lead shot comes down and counteracts the rebound. it works the same in the handelbars, so you end up with less vibration.

Yep, but it is the single mod I have made that makes me WANT to go further in the saddle. I love the looks on peoples faces when I am stopped as a gas station and some dude on a Wing or a full Dresser Harley asks me where I am from or where I am going. They look at me like I am nuts riding that long on my little "crotch rocket".

One of these days when I get some vacation time I am going to do a Iron Butt. I may have to put some Helibars on for that, but we shall see. DB windscreen is next on the list. This is the only reason I don't have rearsets yet.
