I am installingmy new pipe on my 06 F4i now. I am having a problem. There is no gap at all between the pipe and the swingarm. I think I have the mid-pipe on wrong. Is the o2 sensor supposed to be pointing out to the side or is the hole for the 02 sensorsupposed to be on the top? How much space should there be between the mid pipe and the swingarm because I would think it should at least be an inch or two. Does the 02 sensor take away performance and if it does, can it be removed?

On my 01 there is no gap between the mid pipe and the swing arm. I can see where it actually rubs a little on the swingarm. I wouldnt woory about it because you will never see it unless you put it up on a stand and look carfully at it. Good chioce on the pipe by the way...you'll love it

 

Thanks. I rode it today and I love the way it sounds and I can feel a considerable increase in power. This pipe was worth every penny!!!
