triple tree and lock assembly
So i lost my key and i called the dealer and they told me i had to bring in the whole ignition assembly. They recomended removingthe whole top triple tree because the ignition assembly has tamper proof screws and stuff. As of right now it is in the locked position with the bars turned. Am i going to have any trouble getting the triple tree off because its locked with the handle bars turned?
There is a key code on the ignition switch, gas lid, and also the trunk lock. If you take the front off enough to see the ignition switch. You should be able to read the key code off of it. Other then that, take it to your local locksmith. They will pick your gas lid and read the code from it. Then they cut you a factory key from the code.....w00t!!!!!!!!
