165 ?!! Jeez nice. Yes I had a gixer which was great round bends and the like, but curious about these things as theyre kind of labelled as commuter bikes rather than sports bikes....but i think you guys have proved me wrong. Actually I prefer acceleration off the line (which mine is prety bad at) but at 7000 rpm she picks up and starts to move. I must confess I was looking at a Fireblade but everytime I go out on the bike I grow more and more fond of it. Just got a full leather suit for trackday next yr, looking forward to that ;o)

161 indicated out of an F4i, not yet at redline but didn't have much puff left. Bike handled it remarkably well.
Are you serious?
Why would going 116 result in death?

nice. yes took her out today to test full leathers. opened her up on a big left hander and the back end slipped away a little. luckily Ive done a bit of motorcross in the past so not a biggy....but i did sh*t my self for a split second..lol. All part of the fun...not even going that fast btw.
the 132mph I had was an accident as i was in a rush so not even trying to go fast by the way. the bike felt really solid, my cb 500 can get a bit wobbly at high speeds..but the cbr felt fine

I'm still an unbeliever on some of these reported posted top speeds. Unless the bike has something such as a SpeedoHealer with a corrected speedometer, you can subtract around 8-15 mph from what is showing on the display at high speeds if you want to know how fast you were really going.

Which is why many of us have qualified it by stating "indicated" speed .
