lol is what you have in the pic what you consider "full gear"? I'm sure those jeans and that "high end" Joe Rocket jacket are going to help a lot if/when you go down at 150mph (if your doing it that much on public roads, something will go wrong eventually and its going to be very very bad)
I live in the boonies too, lots of random animals, people driving on the wrong side of the road cause they aren't paying attention, crap laying in the road, etc etc etc......

and thats not even getting into the fact that its ****tards doing **** like that that makes cops think we're all dangerous criminals (not all of us are, but you? very much so). Hell the general public thinks we're all f'in nuts because a few dumbasses do crap like your doing on public streets. So yeah, thanks a lot *******...

take it to the ****in track man...

Full gear meaning leathers and body armor back and chest.

there are some pretty straight/open roads in my area and the thought always crosses my mind......but i quickly think "deer, squirrel, oppossum, car, bird, pothole, slick pavement, malfunction w/ the bike (somehow, idk lol)" and i never end up doing it. the only times i really notice that i speed is when merging into traffic. by the time i get out and look down im doing almost 80 (then i let off!). but the urge is always there, probably for everyone on here, but i know for me atleast.......i keep the above things in the back of my mind.

Ditto, I'm always thinking of those possibilities. The conditions have to benear perfectfor me to let'r'rip. There is only one road in my area that I feel safe going high speeds on. Long, straight, great visibility, no turn offs, no traffic, etc..

Listen to everyone in here, Im in Law enforcement and I always catch people saying its stupid people on motorcycles, well majority of the time its stupid people driving cars who dont open their eyes, but sometimes its the jackass who cant handle the power between his legs, wait until you have a blow out at 150....my famous line is goodnight good fight....or when you get gunned going 150...they might not catch you the first time...but eventually they will catch you and you can pick up a number of charges...excessive speed, wreckless operation, endangering the wellfare of the public, wreckless endangerment...so on and so forth and when your cooling your heels in a 6x8 concrete box you will say **** what was I thinking why didnt I just ride and not have to show off

**** happens. My friends were doing wheelies in a secluded area even, and he died. We're just watching out for you bro, but we know we're not going to stop you. And I really hope you're not bluffing when you say there's no houses in between, and you have friends making sure no one is coming down the road. Because it would be ashame if something happened, and you got someone else involved with your ignorance.

another thing that keeps me from doing outrageous speeds is a video i once saw. idk if anyone on here has seen it but i'll briefly describe it.......yes, its nasty!

its in japan i believe, it starts w/ a bike in the back of a pick-up mangled beyond belief. there are paramedics scooping up his brains. the camera moves over and the mans head (YES, he had a helmet and leather jacket on) was literally wedged between a chain link fence. the poles that run vertically every 4' or so down a chain link fence, well his head was wedged between that pole and the chain link part. it took MANY people to pry it out. once removed from the fence his helmet literally splintered away off of his head. they layed him on a sheet (on his back)and his head flopped around. you could see a large opening in the front of his face/skull and his head was LITERALLY, NO JOKE empty!

i apologize if that is gruesome and grosses anyone out, but after seeing that video it kinda sticks w/ you and makes you think twice.

if anyone wants to see it (i dont think you really want to) i could try to dig it up. its a remider of what speed can do to youand shows that at those speeds you're helmet might aswell be a piece of thin plastic.

do not post this ****e in any of the forums.
po pos are allowed to patrol the forums and if they do ask for your information we have to turn it over as you are on here confessing that you're breaking the law.

also note that a fellow member recently past away, and his last post was about his speedo saying 186 and couldn't possibly be correct...no probably not, and he was probably going about 160-170...but fact is, he passed away as the result ofan excessive speed related accident on public roads.

it's just not fair to those you leave behind...sure you think you only hurt yourself if something happens, but fact is...you're gone to wherever you go...but your loved ones have to stay in this world being miserable thinking about you.

get it through your head mang...if it can be avoided...AVOID IT!
