Default Time to do brakes

Ok I recently bought a 2001 f4i with 30k on it and factory brakes. They are ok but pads are getting a little thin.
My question is do I have to change the rotors everytime I change the pads? And can anyone reccomend a good brand of brakes??

you don't have to change the rotors when you do the pads. just make sure they are not warped or have any ridges in them...just make sure they are still within the spec for thickness...it says on the rotor itself.

you may also want to flush your brake system and clean all the gunk out from the pistons. you'll need to extend each one and then clean the gunk off of the base of the pistons, don't extend too far or else they will pop out.

good brake pads are EBC HH pads, stock honda ones, or galfer pads.

have fun!
