Default Throttle Tube Replacement Issue

Hey guys, I'm fairly new to the motorcycle world, and recently purchased a 2004 CBR600 F4i. I wanted to replace the stock grips with these Yana Shiki Aluminum grips. I replaced the grip on the left just fine, but when it came to the right side, I ran into an issue... I removed the stock throttle tube by loosening up the two bolts on the clip on casing using a wrench, and screwed off the bottom casing using a phillips. After a bit of a struggle, I managed to get it off, but now the problem lies in putting on the aftermarket throttle grip. I just cannot, for the life of me, get the throttle cables in the hole without a fight, and lining it up correctly. Is there a way to loosen up the throttle cable? By the way... I'm new to bikes Just throwing that out there lol I browsed the forums and web for hours upon hours, getting different results. All I essentially wanted to do was replace the grips. I didn't think it would be this troublesome. Thanks in advance guys. If you have any pictures of how to approach this, that would be awesome. :-)

I am having the exact same issue. Luckily, I didn't break anything. I am surprised there are not many other posts about this!!!
