Sounds about right when I was on an F4i. Usually rode about 7k-8kmwith bursts up to 10k+. Usually got around 25-30 mpg. Nothing was wrong with Ororo either

I've never seen mine get that poor of mileage, and I've canyon danced and done track days.

Sounds similar to what I get on mine with really mixed riding, mostly hard accelerations and putting it up in the RPM's. I typically put in about 13.8 litres when I hit reserve, and I get about 105km or so before the reserve kicks in..which is about 19mpg.

Either way, seems pretty similar to the mileage I got on my Shadow 750 so I'm use to it haha.

With mine tuned up it gets around 135 per tank when the low fuel light comes on whem I'm riding around consistantly over 7k rpm. It gets 150 per tank with 5k-7k everyday street riding and 170 per tank on long road trips.

In keeping along these lines, has anyone run it out of fuel on purpose to see how far it goes after the 4 bars are blinking ? I've run it down to 4 bars blinking and then looked for fuel. I don't think that I've ever put in much more than 3.95 gallons. It's supposed to be a 4.8 gallon tank, so that would tend to make me believe I've got quite a bit of fuel left in there.

I do this for every new vehicle I get, run it from full to dry and make sure i've got a small can in the boot or backpack to give me enough to make it to the next station after.

Fantastic Idea that has never set me wrong.

That's cool that someone else thinks a little like me. Now if I can just find someone who's actually done it on this bike.

So how is the riding over there in Guernsey, Channel Islands anyway ? I would think that after a while, you'd know every road pretty well.
