Test rode a 2007 RR - My Opinions versus the ole F4i

Don't be a douchebag. Don't ever call somebody out on the forum about how they ride. You don't even know him. We have more and more rookies on this forum that keep running their mouths.
However, yeah that's exactly right. However, if you REALLY wanted to make the RR a more "F4i-like" machine, some risers, rearsets, and a seat would help significantly. That's what I did, went from the F4i to a RR, and quickly realized all the changes, then got rid of the RR. But, I just rode a friends RR with all of the aforementioned mods, and it feels like a peppier F4i! Magical Hondas..

Anyway, Junior ya I really wasent that put off by the stance/ergo's and "in the bike" positioning but rather the 07 just felt too narrow on the tank/knees! I wasent a huge fan about the clutch lever but LOVED finally having the feeling of shifting a bike smooth and seamless due to the low-lash gearbox and closer tolerances/undercut gear teeth in the 07.
The F4i is waay torquier and easier to manuveur in the lower rpm/speeds.
Don't get me wrong, the 07 RR "zips" and has a rather linear power pull from 6k up to redline and I did feel that the engine was just"smooth" during these 3/4-full throttle boosts, but it was not like night and day difference in power from my F4i. Faster? Yes! But the F4i is no slouch and I wasent blown away! I ride my F4i just about every single day here in Arizona as it's my only form of transportation so I have a good frame of reference I feel
The smoothness and newer technology of the engine and gearbox as well as the cosmetic looks is what REALLY gets me about the 2007...Can anybody make a direct faring kit to make the F4i look like the 2007 RR's?!?!?!?!? Thanks!!! ha

Thanks guys ya there's been quite a few trolls around here lately...I don't take offense..most of them like "Tommysf4i" never made it out of kindergarten so e-fighting seems pretty immature...

Thanks for the review 600F4inoober! I've been curious how the F4i would stack up next to an 07+ RR. I like hearing the common mans review, especially one from a guy who has had more then average experience with the F4i.
The RR was the bike i really wanted to buy after putting 10,000 miles on my Ninja 250, but considering you can pick up a clean F4i for decent price, compared to a bran new RR, i couldn't pass the on the F4i.

I actually think there's a huge difference between the 2 bikes. The stock RR is definitely more track friendly from the front end, to the rearsets. This bike was definitely modelled after what was on the tracks then. the The F4i is more street friendly, but I have absolutely no complaints as it serves me well on the roads. But my choice would be a no brainer for the race track.

Honestly I think a lot will come down to personal comfort and wallet. Some of y'all are capable of pulling the increased performance out of the RR. Many of the rest of the world's riders can and would get spanked by some of the F2 and Hurricane riders.
