Default Temperature for fan to turn on

what temperature is the fan suppose to turn on at. mine turns on at 235 and can only bring it about to 230.

is it a fan switch issue or thermostat issue?
im planning to do a coolant flush.

My fan usually turns on at 226 or 228; then goes off around 216-218... never seen my temp go above 232.

Mine comes on at 224 (F) and turns off around 216. Temp comes down fairly quickly.

108(C) +
check the resistance of water temperature sensor according to the service manual if it doesn't turn on; if that is not the problem there might be bubble trapped in the system or fan motor is broken

Look on your rad and watch it turn on at temperature. You can also pull the plug off of the thermal switch. (left side of rad) and ground it. (Female end) The fan should turn on. Should also be getting the 12v at the plug.

You'll be able to hear it, it's fairly loud.
